ANGOLA 20252024-11-04 21:58:14
50 years of independence, 12 months of discovery.
A project by Concertation productions asbl, in collaboration with Intercult 77 asbl.
Angola, Congo's Portuguese-speaking neighbour, is little known in Belgium.
In November 2025, it will be celebrating 50 years of independence, so it's the perfect opportunity to get to know its culture and history and build bridges between artists, the public, charities and cultural contacts.
This multidisciplinary festival will highlight artists and works in a variety of fields: literature, film, visual arts, history, dance and music.
On the programme: cookery and dance workshops, exhibitions, screenings, concerts, readings, shows, lectures and discussions.
Part of the proceeds will go to an Angolan humanitarian association.
Events will take place once a month in collaboration with various partners (festivals, cultural venues, museums, associations).
Other project partners.
Concertation Productions’ is looking for a number of partners in order to bring its project to fruition. The idea is to create at least one event per month. A programme has been drawn up for November at Cellule 133 with the non-profit organisation Intercult 77, another is underway with the Fantastique Collectif, with the documentary festival in April, with bookshops in March for Poetry and Storytelling Day, with the Exile Museum, the A.P.E.B...
There are also exchanges with the Afrika Museum, the Maison Angolaise, various music, dance and film festivals, and with Angolan contacts.
Concertation Productions’ would be delighted to count you among its collaborators on this project.
